Raising Tigers Ron & Julie

If you have read the story of Christian the Lion (The Lion Who Thought He Was People) or have seen Born Free or Living Free (the books are all real life incidents of raising lion cubs in the wild by Joy Adamson) then you cannot afford to miss the inspiring story of bringing up Bengal Tiger cubs in th wilderness of African jungles.

The story, captured in an inspiring documentary film Living with Tigers by naturalist John Varty,The story begins with John deciding to give the rapidly vanishing Bengal Tigers a second chance at life by creating a wild life sanctuary in the midst of Africa.

Not many thought it was possible to rehabilitate Bengal Tigers in Africa would be possible, mainly because the tigers are adapted to hunting in the forest areas that offer them ample cover to ambush prey, while in Africa the nature of hunts are usually wild chases!

John partnered with 24 year old Canadian naturalist, who also trained big cats – lions & tigers for Hollywood. Dave Salmoni also handled big cats in Canadian Bowmanville Zoo. The two set on a 3 year journey to rehabilitate 7 month old tigers Ron & Julie in the jungles of South Africa.

You can buy this motivational documentary film Living with Tigers by John Varty & Dave Salmoni from Amazon. This 2 hours documentary is filled with inspiration, of the immense strength some people demonstrate to bring good & save lives in danger!
