Jules Verne was one of the foremost science writers of the 19th century. His best movies, now available in DVD as well as in VHS & Blu Ray, are fantastic classics for children, kids & people of all ages.

I have the best of Jules Verne’s collection in DVD movies. I had read the books in English earlier, but the movies made it real-life. For the kids and the children, they are education & fun, all combined into one.

The ones that I am yet to see are the Mysterious Island & the Jules Verne’s Rocket to the Moon featuring Joan Bennett.

From the time Jules Verne wrote these stories of the universe & the awesome discoveries, of traveling to the moon or to the depths of the ocean, many things have changed. Modern discoveries & technology have made many of those things possible now.

However, time has not been able to take away anything from these masterpieces. They have been replicated in many places. Nemo, for example, meaning “No One” & the name of the captain of the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, still represents anyone who has the same spirit of adventure, the indomitable urge to seek out the truth!
